Casa Filippo, carefully renovated maintaining its historical charm, is located in the historic center of Otranto next to the Church of San Pietro, one of the most representative medieval buildings of the South of Italy of the Byzantine building tradition that would seem to be attributable to the IX-X century. The house is spread over three levels, to access the floors it is necessary to climb several stairs. On the ground floor there are five different entrances, each of which corresponds to a different room. Crossing the main entrance door leads to the large living room with fireplace and antique well with the possibility of arranging a double sofa bed, then we find a large dining room with imperial table and typical wicker sofas, then we move on to the kitchen always with table, complete with oven and dishwasher, next to it is a comfortable service bathroom complete with washing machine. The sleeping area, accessible only by stairs, is characterized by another large living room with sofa bed, fireplace, TV, work area with fast internet and panoramic balcony with basilica view, two large bedrooms with double bed, one with French beds the other with prestigious private bathrooms, one with shower and one with bathtub and a comfortable extremely bright reading area. Continuing up to the floors, you are stunned by the beautiful penthouse in which the blue color dominates that takes up the shades of the Otranto sea; here too we find a relaxation corner with armchairs and sofas. Magical is then the panoramic terrace facing the sea that offers a breathtaking view of the historic center of Otranto, including the basilica of the SS Martiri di Otranto, the Church of San Pietro and of course the wonderful port. The furnishings on the terrace are handmade exclusively for our structure by local artisans. Living room with children It was a real pleasure to stay in this lovely house. The rooms are spacious and the location is perfect. We could reach the swimming area and spent many hours. The view from the rooftop was also delightful; We had our morning tea and coffee up there. The air conditioning was much appreciated!
